All roads lead to Truck Central
Intersection works to the entrance of Truck Central Darwin are rapidly progressing.
Local construction company and development partner, Ostojic Group, are moving ahead with upgrades to the Wishart and Kirkland Road intersection. This upgrade is essential to providing a safe access for the future users of the Truck Central estate.
Construction on the intersection is scheduled to conclude at the end of November 2018, following an 8 month construction period. Bulk earthworks are now well advanced to all sides of the intersection with minimal disruption to traffic.
Ostojic Group are working closely with service authorities to minimise any inconvenience to commuters. Throughout the intersection’s construction period drivers can expect:
- Changed traffic conditions including reduced speed limits and temporary traffic realignments; and
- Increased heavy vehicle movements.
LDC would like to thank the community for its patience during construction. For updates on the progress of the intersection works please follow the Land Development Corporation Facebook page and news feed.
Internal subdivision works on the estate are also progressing, with Ostojic Group in the final phases of servicing the development. Installation of the last stormwater infrastructure will occur in June with sealing of internal roads to take place shortly after.
When completed, the Truck Central estate will incorporate a road house, driver rest/fatigue management facilities, a large road train assembly area, a heavy vehicle inspection facility and 22 industrial lots for sale and development. Titles for the Truck Central development are programmed for issue in December 2018.
